To a flat Earther, what's wrong with the idea that gravity is simply a force inherent to space which operates only in one dimension? Why do they go further and try to deny gravity rather than just saying it's different than physicists claim?

But Newtonian gravity, in which mass attracts mass, and the pull is toward the center of mass, ruins their “model,” and they know it. They have to deny Newtonian gravity.

Most of science proves them wrong.

Well, first off, they DO say it's different than what physicists claim. They claim most of science is “wrong,” and they are “right.”

Can you fly an American flag in the UK in your own private property there? What is the UK’s government stance on that? And if yes, do you also have to fly the UK flag or the American flag can fly solo?

OP: “To a flat Earther, what's wrong with the idea that gravity is simply a force inherent to space which operates only in one dimension? Why do they go further and try to deny gravity rather than just saying it's different than physicists claim?:

They also deny space even exists at all, and gravity should pull their Sun down to the ground. So they have to deny all gravity completely. They actually have to deny most of science, too!
